What Will My Treatment Cost?
South Austin Oral Surgery is dedicated to excellent care and reasonable prices. Dental extractions vary in cost based on their level of impaction. Sedation fees are based on how long the surgery is expected to take.
For fully erupted non-wisdom teeth, we can generally provide you an estimate without an x-ray. You will be provided with the options of receiving sedation and bone graft for your care.
We are also able to provide estimates for wisdom teeth, but will need a panorex x-ray taken within the past year. A panorex x-ray is used by oral surgeons to not only evaluate your risks, but also determine the level of impaction. Without this information, it would be impossible to provide a meaningful estimate. Alternatively, if you have a recent consultation with another provider and they have provided you with the dental codes they plan to use, we use these codes to provide you with an estimate. If you do not have either a detailed treatment plan from another provider or a panorex x-ray, we will need to schedule you for an exam and x-ray.
If you have a PPO dental insurance plan, your insurance company may cover a portion of you care. Plans vary significantly and your coverage will depend on the policy selected by you and your employer which determine your yearly maximum coverage, deductible, and copays for different procedures. Most insurance plans will cover two exams a year and approximately 30-80% of surgery and sedation fees. With your subscriber ID and general information, we can verify and check your benefits for you.
Financial Policy
Payment is due at the time of the service. Payments can be made using cash, credit cards, or debit cards. Our office also accepts checks, but will need the check to clear before proceeding with any treatment. Any arrangements for third-party financing must be made before starting treatment.
Insurance Policy
South Austin Oral Surgery accepts most PPO (including Medicare PPO) dental insurances. Our office will help you file a claim with your insurance company. You will pay any deductible and copay at the time of surgery. If there is any overpayment on your part, we will refund you this amount. If there is a balance due, we will contact you for payment.
We do not accept HMO/DMO insurance plans but you may still be seen at our office if you would like. Most HMO plans provide a discount off an in-network specialist’s offices standard rates. However, as other offices generally have significantly higher prices, our prices may end up being lower than those of an “in-network HMO/DMO” specialist office.
If you or your child has Medicaid and are between, the ages of 13-20, Dr. Raju can see you at Super Smiles Dental – Austin.
Our office does not file medical insurance.
